Sisters R Us Circle of Survivors, Inc., (SRUCOS) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization registered and recognized by the IRS based in Yeadon, Pennsylvania (Delaware County).

OUR MISSION:
The mission of Sisters R Us Circle of Survivors is to support women diagnosed, being treated and living beyond Breast Cancer.

OUR GOALS:
To raise funds to give financial support to women diagnosed, being treated and living beyond breast cancer.

To ensure women have access to resources during and after treatment that will help them thrive in their survivorship.

To connect Survivors to organizations that are at the forefront of supporting women impacted by a diagnosis of Breast Cancer.

To design programs that promote the importance of self awareness and good breast health practices.

To promote mammograms for underserved women, which can lead to early detection and a decrease in the number of women diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer.

OUR PROGRESS:

Since its inception, Sisters R Us Circle of Survivors have sponsored an Annual Breakfast and Awards Program, a Luncheon & Hat Fashion Show, a Bowling for A Cause and Gospel Benefit Concert to raise funds to support their mission. The organization has also created three monetary financial stipends: The Beat Breast Cancer, CEF Caregiver’s, and the Thriving Beyond Breast Cancer.  These stipends are awarded in November to Breast Cancer Survivors being treated, caregivers and Breast Cancer Survivors who are thriving beyond their diagnosis.

Sisters R Us Circle of  Survivors also implemented the Socks for Survivors  Campaign to support  patients being treated for breast cancer. To date SRUCOS has prepared and donated over 1000 sock packages to four major hospitals. Each package contains a new pair of socks and other items the patient can use at the treatment site or at home.

Sisters R Us Circle of  Survivors launched the Pampering Day Project which provide women/men in active treatment or living with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer with a pampering day in between treatment.

Sisters R Us Circle of Survivors hold  monthly Educational Workshops to give ongoing support to women who have been impacted by a diagnosis of breast cancer and to educate individuals in the community about the importance of self awareness, good breast health practices, access to yearly mammograms, which can lead to early detection and a decrease in the number of women being diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer.
